Sound Poster

Touch sensitive poster created by Dutch designers Trapped in Suburbia doubles up the poster as a musical instrument using a touch-sensitive conductive paint.

This is one of the first of a series of experiments with combining digital and analogue and the designers aim to improve it over time. A variety of sounds can be produced based on what geometric shape you touch on the poster, as long as it sounds melodious! So before you impress your friends, you might want to practice on this poster!

Touted to be the first of a series of experiments combining analogue and digital, Sound Poster 1.0 is likely to become more refined over time. Currently you can produce a variety of sounds depending on which of the geometric shapes you touch on the poster – producing something more than noise is the real challenge, however.
