Instagram, a photo-sharing application is the new obsession for a creative mind. Various brands have already started experimenting with the app to engage the photo-sharing savvy users. I am currently following my favorites Starbucks, Gucci, Burberry and Redbull. It seems like these brands jumped too early on Instagram without a strategy in place. It is just the beginning and I am really eager to see how their profiles develop and make it more exciting for all users.
Currently a British band ‘The Vaccines’ are crowdsourcing their music video for their upcoming single ‘Wetsuit’ using Instagram.
They will use photos taken by their fans who are also Instagram users. Fans are required to tag their photos of music festivals with the band using #vaccinesvideo which are collected on their website to be used in an animated video.
