A recent research project by Amnesia Razorfish replaces the ‘send and receive’ interface with a natural ‘gesture-based’ interface, a more interactive interface. Users can drag content freely between devices by placing their iPhone or iPad on the Microsoft Surface Table. The devices pick up the content instantly and provide a very engaging experience.
It will be interesting to see how brands use this platform to engage their customers. The platform can provide a very rich real-time experience if used well by marketers. It has the potential to engage customers in nearly all age-groups and certainly a brand looking to engage children at a young age can find this a potential route to launch engaging campaings that spell fun for the target market and sales for the marketer.
Currently, Amnesia Connect works with all Apple IOS devices and the development work is in progress for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry Smartphones.
